They were more interested in making a visually creative movie, then the story line it self. It had a weak plot and too whimsical with no weight. Also, the trailer was very much different from the movie…. Hint hint — if they showed it was actually a boring musical with no interesting storyline, then they wouldn’t sell tickets. So most of the trailer was spent on the only small clever umpa lumpa line, another hint that there was nothing else notable to catch your attention. The major actors also only had very few interactions with the movie, but were the major highlight of the trailer. Another sign ! Sorry I don’t have more good things to say.
