We had high hopes that the Good Boys would be a humorous coming of age movie. We were sadly disappointed in that there was scarcely a funny or clever line in it. Given the unlimited kinds of situations adolescents become involved in, there was much potential for clever humor. Instead, the writers and producers took the easy way with gratuitous sextual language. If you are amused by a steady barrage of four letter expletives from 12 year-olds, this movie is for you.

The acting is not bad. Special effects are good. However the premise of this movie is absolutely ridiculous. O.K., I get that you need to suspend some beliefs when watching a horror movie but this goes too far. A murderous monster the mature of which is never revealed. It just kills or causes killing. A blindfolded woman with 2 blindfolded 4 year olds navigating a river for many miles, fighting off bad guys, and surviving capsizing? In addition, the movie reeks of political correctness. But I guess we have to endure that these days.
