In terms of quality and production value, the film is obviously going to have flaws. The cast is made up of in-house Daily Wire personalities and a few cameos. Don't expect the same masterful delivery that you get from Will Ferrel or other comedic icons. But the acting is passable for the most part. Matt Walsh steals the show with his performance as a Woke hippie, deftly re-enacting the delusions and pipe-dreams spewed by today's left-wing activists. Jeremy Boreng also does surprisingly well as the protagonist, a washed up father and former basketball coach trying to reclaim his once-held fame.
Whatever the movie lacks, it makes up for with its original premise and fearless message; a huge middle-finger to the Hollywood elites, media moguls, and government autocrats who have forcefully stifled all discussion of trans ideology.
The film mocks the controversial decision to allow biological males to compete in female sports, an obvious injustice to real women who have lost the right to their own spaces. This is the main gripe of those who claim the film is bigoted or hateful, fueled by a mistaken belief that subjecting trans athletes to the same rules as everyone else is a violation of their human rights.
I would say it's worth seeing for the original ideas it brings to the public conversation. Once you accept that the movie is a parody film that is supposed to be silly, it's much easier to look past its shortcomings and enjoy some of its well executed laughs. It also helps the company produce more traditional-friendly content that has sadly been abandoned by the movie industry.
