This was definitely a disappointment. After reading about a third of The Rooster Bar, then scanning through the remaining 2/3 just to say I finished it, I remember now why I stopped reading Grisham several years ago (he was once upon a time my favorite author). It was lacking in so many ways. I found it hard to connect with (or even like) the main characters, the “legal thriller” aspect was missing, and for the most part the storyline was dull and somewhat silly. A waste of money and time. I won’t be rushing out to buy any more of his books anytime soon, if ever again. I’m giving it a three because I do respect the fact that the language was clean and there wasn’t a lot of violence.
