It is a mini novella, that can be finished within a day. It is one of ayn rand's earlier works, but i donot like all of ayn rands pre fountainhead works as she wasn't very consistent, articulate and intellectually developed yet. However, this novel is awesome and i loved it. It is a super straightforward, simple story, that directly conveys what it seeks to convey. I was genuinely invested in the protagonists journey while reading. I recommend it to people who are (atleast) wary of collectivism and socialism, and ideas like, you must live and work for everyone around you and not for yourself. This book is a reminder of where such thinking can lead you to.
