I had vision and I had leadership vision, but it was taking aware by hearing people, over and over again. It was a lifetime of jumping hurdles and no wonder why my legs are worn and tired to this day. I wanted to swim for UND in 1982, but Father Hesburgh said UND could not give me any accommodation at the time, but then 7 years later ADA Laws passed, 7 years too late. UND could have been at the forefront and example of this Bill if they had tried to accommodate. I had the vision, Father Hesburgh did not, UND did not.
Hesburgh's quotes.....
"The very essence of leadership is that you have to have vision. You can't blow an uncertain trumpet."
"The very essence of leadership is that you have to have a vision."
