I quite enjoyed A Simple Favour and was happy to hear a sequel was being made. I tried to watch the sequel and gave up after about 30 mins in it’s so diabolical. I have tried again and pushed through the pain to finish watching it now. Dear Lord. I don’t know where to start. Anna Kendrick is fabulous in everything and she’s the only glimmer of hope. The rest of the cast are beyond wooden, even the usually fabulous Alison Janney. It’s all such awful acting as to verge on unintentionally comical. To top it all off, the fragrant Blake Lively parading about in an endless series of ultra high fashion monstrosities that overtake any plot or scene. A wholly ridiculous movie and 10/10 beg you to not waste your time. Save yourselves!

Most boring, pointless, dire movie I think I’ve ever seen.

One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen the first two - the first was great, despite relatively low budget. The second was passable. This third instalment is just beyond awful and I actually couldn’t bear to make it through it all. The acting is beyond dire / wooden - for every single actor other than Channing Tatum. Diabolically wooden. Dialogue delivered as if off an autocue. Literally no coherent storkyline, as tenuous as the first two were. Salam Hayek is shockingly bad - wooden beyond belief and delivers her lines in a way that wouldn’t even pass at amateur dramatics level. Seems to be the highest budget yet of this trilogy but is an absolute turkey. It to mention the god awful ‘narration’ by a random monotone teen that adds absolutely nothing to the movie other than being contrived and irritating. Do yourself a favour and give this a hard pass. I’d sooner have root canal than have to sit through this.
