Devin Campbell

Overall. Its a good movie on it own right and had alot to live up too. On that i will give it credit. But im only going to give it 3/5 because the Aladdin and jasmine characters lacked the "character" i have come to expect from a disney movie. Will smith brought the energy and did wonderful. Albeit id challenge him to elevate that level of energy to 11 for this character which again has quite a hard role to follow in the footsteps of. Otherwise. I believe it comes down to the directing of the movie that is to fault as the movie lacked so much emotion and magic that disney has been known for in the past. Disney is known for imagination and magic of its productions and i felt like it is trying to humanize and bring more realism then we come to expect from disney. Hopefully this movie and the obvious criticism pushes themselves to open up the world of imagination as they should have been.
