Absolutely incredible story. I highly recommend it. They do not shy away from the brutality inflicted onto the Jewish people during WWII, but this is a story of hope and redemption. my heart pounded through out the first seven episodes, but I cried so many tears of joy and sorrow during the eighth. This was a beautiful series and I hope everyone watches it, especially right now in these tumultuous times. Never forget.

Very little integrity to the true story of Miep Gies. I’m disappointed that she is portrayed as a dim witted young woman who couldn’t get a job, when that was not true, and that she met Jan Gies at a bar instead of at the JOB she had prior to working for Otto Frank. Incredibly disappointed in National Geographic for changing this incredible woman’s story to fit their modern narrative.
