Sorry , I've had enough of The Colin Murray Show . I much preferred it when it was Countdown . He rarely stops talking (I'm sure he'd like the 30 seconds cut to 20 so he could get more talk time in) , Rachel and Susie are now Rach and Suze - there's that football influence , everybody must have a nickname - and the guest in dictionary corner is now "In Conversation With Colin" , rather than telling an interesting story . And what is he writing ?????? He's writing - rather ostentatiously off to one side - while he's talking , he's scribbling out whatever he's written without looking - while he's talking , he lets us know when he has a winning word , though I've never heard him say "I couldn't beat that" when he doesn't . He's the host , not the third contestant ! He declares the winner at the earliest mathematically-certain time , killing a dead contest , and then he's unbelievably patronising to the losing contestant , telling them how they've been up against a great champ , or just been unlucky . I absolutely loathed Nick Hewer , who came across as completely uninterested , if not bored , with the actual game but please , please , bring him back !!! Anybody but Murray .
