As a retired Battallion Chief/Paramedic, I can say "finally". This is a show that is the most accurate of any fire department shows that has been on television so far. Each fire department is slightly different based on the demographics and areas involved, but I am not saying to the television "That's not the way it really is" with this show. I find myself smiling because we see ourselves in these firefighters and paramedics. When they show fire situations in a building, you can't see anything. In most cases, that is the way it is. Thanks NBC and LAFD for showing what it is really like!
