To all those Royal purists who insist on a historically accurate drama, try to set this aside before watching. This is an artistic and fictional interpretation of a day in the life of Princess Diana. If there is one thing Kristen Stewart can do, it is sadness lol. But not only does she master a wonderful Diana-eseque portrayal (her American doing a convincing British accent is second only to Meryl Streep, yes it is that good) we see new depths of her acting to convey Diana's anguish and repressed torment. Great cinematography, gorgeous outifts, the irksome violin soundtrack helping us feel her lingering pain. A bit slow at times but maybe adds to how excruciating it felt for Diana to keep up the charade. Real shame it didn't perform in the box office, but dramas probably fare the worst amidst a pandemic. Hope this movie get the recognition it deserves.

I loved it, probably my favourite movie this year so far. They seemed to have done justice to the manga whilst bringing a thrilling metal dystopian world to life. Thoroughly enjoyed it, deserves more success at the box office and critically

I never thought I would be moved by something so simple. The allusions to Adam and Eve, feeling content with the essentials in life, the value of family, connection with nature. Just beautiful and the soundtrack is just perfection.

I’m now considering becoming vegan for all the aforementioned reasons. Really is a game changing documentary!

For shame, Paul Feig, for shame! To go from Bridesmaids to this tripe is a fall from grace, to say the least. What a cliched plot twist. Might as well have been all a dream! Pretty insulting and a scarcity of genuinely funny jokes renders this movie utterly pointless. Bring back Richard Curtis!!!!!

I loved it, and am sad it didn’t draw in audiences as hoped, as that’s probably dashed hopes for a sequel…..I thought it was well written and well executed, real shame about the unexpected competition from Super Mario Bros

Awful - Liu Yifei’s emotionless wooden Mulan who brings nothing to an already lacklustre movie, which lacks the heart and soul of the Disney classic. Where was mushu and the ancestors, and why wasn’t there singing? How could you NOT sing reflection???? URGH. Also sorry what was up with this ‘chi’ nonsense (which is actually a belief from Chinese medicine not folklore), this isn’t Kung Fu Panda 3?! No one wants historic accuracy when watching a kids movie, we want Disney magic. Please will someone redo this disaster of a remake.

WHY would you aim for that level of realism when you have TALKING ANIMALS?! Not even a tear when Simba is mourning his dad?? Not a wide open mouth when he’s hitting a high note. because that would be too inaccurate to real life. THEY’RE SINGING. Why this reached over £1.6bn at the box office is just over my head because this lifeless, joyless remake was such a bore.

One of the worst films I’ve ever seen in my life, if not THE worst, awful awful awful. Pretentious contrived attempt at an artistic ‘high brow’ sci-fi movie with little to no scientific credibility to it to generate suspension of disbelief let alone sustain it! Cheap special effects, annoying whiny characters, nonsensical hole-ridden ‘sci-fi’ and awful story. On top of that, it’s drags on so painfully to make up for the fact it lacks any substance. So bad I felt compelled to write this review.
