Although it was very long( which we knew), it was an absolutely brilliant documentary. The narration accompanying the filming of all the places, parks, buildings and people in Amsterdam of today, was read beautifully, heightening the sense of disbelief that this ever happened. The word 'destroyed', at the end of the history of a building, was like a bomb, or a gunshot going off each time. It was sometimes hard to understand the narrator when she pronounced a Dutch name or street name. This film will stay with me for a long time.
