Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson deliver a thought provoking performance. In a similar vein to Black Mirror, this works so well because although it could be considered science fiction, it takes existing or immerging technology and just pushes it a little bit further to create a plausible scenario. That aside, it also offers a provocative and honest portrayal of loneliness and social isolation.
