spoiler free review I saw so much hype around the promotion of this movie + a bunch of rave spoiler free reviews from Tik tok so I splurged and I have some thoughts. Positive: the cinematography was good, the acting was great from the main character girl, if you love silence of the lambs, or the show mind hunter you’ll like the premise of this movie. It reminds me of the later more. The acting was very good, but a CON I felt like there was barely any screen time for Nicholas Cage until the last 30 of the film. The special FX was impressive + poignant when used. Con: The twist was predictable about halfway through - and they added a religious element that I felt like… it was meant to be a key part of the film but it fell short for me in the why; I know motive is always needed in movies of this nature but it as a main plot point felt moderately under developed IMO If you like serial killer “true crime” content than you’ll most likely like this movie. Was a good watch but I could have waited until it came out on streaming; not sure if the hype was as promised via the promos. An interesting watch for sure.
