Kuschke Nell

This book completely changed the genre of books I prefer. I chose the book for the collapse, but left with a deep desire for books to fill me with sorrow and make me cry. The stories are beautifully written and full of heart. I vividly remember lying in bed, reading a piece, turning off all the lights and just sobbing. It was a wonderful tale and I will gladly read it again and again.

I read this book after reading How High We Go In The Dark and was slightly disappointed because I felt it didn't hurt me as much. After some time had passed, I found myself constantly thinking about the book and my heart aching for the characters. This book doesn't deal instant sorrow or hurt, but it has a long lasting effect which makes it hurt more. It has since become one of my favourite books and I think about it regularly.

This is by far my favourite book. It is captivating and you feel that you personally get to know the characters. It is heartbreaking and I have spent so much time crying over this book. I still think about some of the characters on a weekly basis mo this after reading the book. It tears your heart out, but it is beautifully written.
