I liked the action and the zombies and I liked the suspense, but there were certain points where the drama drones on and tries to drag it out unnecessarily with forced emotional outbursts that aren't really interesting. I also dislike how many characters choose to make infuriating detrimental and terrible decisions just for the sake of being murdery. It's basically students vs zombies vs dirtbags. I get that it's trying to make a point about bullying being bad, but it's really too much and the blatant overreactions begin very early and just don't stop through the whole series. The shows also chock full of overdone tropes with very little that I would say is original. Don't get me wrong, I think the premise of the story was great but the execution needed work. If I could talk to the directors I'd tell them I want to see more of the story unfold through showing it rather than having fireside chats between characters. You shouldn't try to narrate so much because it gets boring. That being said I did think it was decent. Does it deserve all the hype? Not really. Is it worth a watch? Yes, it is still pretty entertaining. Not worth watching twice but certainly worth watching through once.
