Fantastic movie and a worthy prequel to 'The Omen'.
Set in 1970s Rome, the movie switches effortlessly between nostalgic scenes of a young woman coming into her own in a bygone era, discovering the reality of life and her emotions, beliefs and boundaries and a series of high octane, creepy and intense experiences she undergoes whilst living in the eternal city.
The lead actress (Tiger Free) is entirely believable in her role as Margaret. Her wit and emotion openly spill out on screen. You 'connect' with her as she desperately tries to make sense of a rapidly changing, malevolent darkness that threatens to overwhelm her and everything she holds sacred. Her performance is outstanding!
It fits in very much with the Omen movie genre but with clever plot twists that ensure that fans will not be disappointed. The supporting cast fit in perfectly, creating a mood of twisted religious fervour, heightened emotions, dark myth and holy desperation..
It's full on drama for those that enjoy it !!!
