Cheap copy-paste of the original "Gladiator"' plot. No coherent storyline whatsoever. Zero character development and a trash script, which they attempt to revive with cringe-y, overt, "male honor" high school football team type of motivational lines and speeches. Things move way too fast to allow for any true storytelling, but somehow still manage to waste 2.5 hours of your time. A lot of expensive + unnecessary gore and CGI monkeys/sharks (wtf) in the colosseum. An insult to the original. I wanted to love this movie SO badly because I am a HUGE fan of Pedro Pascal (!!!), Paul Mescal, and Denzel. UGH.
