I am nonplussed and scandalised at the rave reviews, especially of some of the child actors. Eleven most speciallay, I would need to see the little actress in other roles to be able to say but this role to me is just impossible to even evaluate. I just know I cringe every time she performes one of her supernatural stunts with the terribly eyebrow-thing she does. It could be nothing to do with the actors talent just the directorial vision that fails to work with my taste. Little Will is just plain and everyone else can best be described as awfully 80s, along with the whole story, the amount of goo and slime and just everything! Jesus, I can't believe I've seen 2 seasons already and let myself get convinced that number 3 is even better! Whatever that even means! I haven't quite decided yet if I want to risk watching it.

I am astonished at all the four and five stars and praise for acting! Neil Gaiman is super talented in writing hugely imaginative stories and this is one of those. However, the actors playing comic characters are so boring I'm not evennsure I can finish the whole season. For me, if you're going to write characters that already stretch imagination to the extreme, making their screen version completely wooden, just standing there never twitching a facial muscle, reciting lines in a monotone is not going to help. The story is good, the actors playing human characters are pretty great I might just stick it out for their sake though.

I was fully expecting to like this series as I have read a lot about the period and have heard how amazing this show was. I was very disappointed and never made it through more than about 3 and a half episodes. All it is is a soap with lots of good looking people weaving intrigue and having sex Even the intro shows almost nothing other than gorgeous people having lots of sex and that's all it is. And it's not even trying to be half- accurate! Like the actress playing Catherine of Aragon is not only not Spanish speaking but not even someone with a convincing native Spanish. I'm not going to waste any more time on this.
