I love the south of France and so was eager to read Miles' history. Miles isn't a good writer and his editor must have been completely besotted with the author or just not present at all. The narrative is all over the place: it's as if Miles ran down a Wikipedia rabbit hole with each sentence he wrote. The tome features a numbing sixty pages of notes, many of which refer to Miles' own writing.
