Rafee

This movie was my introduction to Antonio Banderas, Catherine Zeta Jones and the legend that is Anthony Hopkins. It forms part of the foundation of my childhood, holding a lot of nostalgic value. So, maybe my review is biased but I think the performances all round have heart and intrigue. The protagonists have a clear goal with deep motivation and they all have good chemistry and interaction off of each other. Apart from the cowboy dude whom I found needlessly hilarious to a point it damages the movie, overall this is a solid movie and I think I'll watch it again just to show appreciation.

The Pokemon Company are capitalising on a serious cache of nostalgia here, never has the Sinnoh region looked any better on both my Switch and TV screen! I'm enjoying the new mechanics and must say I can't seem to leave the Underground Dungeon. However, as a long term fan growing up with series it did feel a little too easy in comparison to the original and thus too breezy to completion. On the other hand, I am aware there is a new audience to entice and I hope they achieve as much joy as I had with the original DS release.
