Waited until after my surgery to binge watch and I loved it! I never played the game but the movie series has always been in my top favorites, so I was looking forward to watching this and I very much enjoyed it! I love movies and shows that have bada$$ female protagonist. There was a$$ kicking and zombies. I enjoyed the back story. I thought it was neat how they came up with the pheromones and how it mutated animals. The caterpillar and crocodile were awesome! (but I didn't catch as to how they were able to control the gator, unless I missed that part, THAT would've been interesting to see.) I was confused by the costume head Jade wore when she went after Billie's bully. I was waiting for an explanation of where the head costume came from. When the sisters were searching through their dad's things, they came across information about "Old Racoon City" but it didn't elaborate much further except about the incident in Tijuana. I hated seeing Billie turn into the bad guy but it makes sense because she was infected and Jade explains early on that it rewires the brain. The spider was surprising but I feel they could've been slightly better with different lighting to enhance their creepy features more. I feel like the phermone tube Jade threw down could have been more elaborate in order to attract the amount of zombies it did. I think the actors did a great job and nothing seemed forced/faked or cheesy/corny. There are other zombie TV series that focus more on the people than anything else and have multiple seasons. Those other shows start off cool with fighting with the zombies and throwing in the dramatic back stories but then it turns into 90% of it being about the characters relationships than the zombies. In my opinion, this show had incorporated both very well. It had a lot of action, which I love, and while there was drama it didn't turn it into a drama series with some random zombies popping in. I also liked that the twists weren't randomly tossed in and didn't fit for example, the clones. That was creative! I liked how it was the same concept about Umbrella but with a different story line. There are so many movie and shows that really aren't that great that seem to not be canceled so I don't understand why this one was. I wish Netflix would have given it a little more time before making that decision.
