The movie was fine. The acting was good .. it was intentionally understated reflecting a reluctant protagonist. Michael K Williams was also great ... what a loss! I have to laugh at those who complain that it talks about supposed "black victimhood. " Someone even brought up the cliche about CRT? I guess slavery and the racist oppression that continued afterwards didn't happen? Hey, let's not make anymore anti-Nazi movies either? Or movies about the Irish Potato Famine or the Spanish Inquisition because it might hurt some people's feelings? And racial hatred? One of the white guys was very sympathetic and SPOILER---DON'T READ PAST THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE. ------------------------- One of the main villains, maybe the worst, was black. So much for racial hatred against whites. Laughable complaining from those who think that "white dominance" is normal. There should be no dominance. The film wasn't meant to be a history lesson--it was meant to illuminate certain truths...about racism but also about courage and never giving up.

So much bad dialogue!! Almost hilarious. So many plot holes and bad scenes pointed out by others... especially the bad guys walking out in the open right behind their buddies who just got shot down. But my favorite (can't spoil something that's spoiled) scene: Bruce and his daughter are sitting in separate chairs with their hands zip tied. The bad guy leaves the room. Bruce gets out of the zip ties without much effort, scraped skin, nothing ..... and then he reaches over and too quickly frees his daughter's hands. But that's not the worst unrealistic nonsense. AS SOON as their hands are freed, THEY STAND UP AND RUN OUT OF THE ROOM. THEIR FEET WEREN'T TIED TOGETHER. THEY COULD HAVE RUN OUT OF THE ROOM EARLIER. SO MANY bad moments, dialogue and scenes.. I watched it while working out on my elliptical and I actually was screaming out loud at the screen and I NEVER EVER scream out loud at the screen. It hurt. watching the movie actually hurt. The photography was cheap and awful, so dark and so repetitious. But there was one part that was truly beautiful....when for the camera moved across the beautiful brick exterior on that lovely classical old factory. it was actually quite nice.... which made the return back to the movie that much more awful.
