Decided to look at the 1 star reviews, but they're just people with different opinions, don't mind them, anyways. The series and other works that led up to this Movie was simply amazing and I can't recommend it enough, the story is very simple in itself but the writing is what makes it glue together as this special work of art, Violet Evergarden is one of the most interesting characters you'll probably come across in storytelling, not that I'm a writer, but she is a character you'll learn to love, connect with, and relate with all the characters she meets throughout her journey, in a quest to find the meaning of "I Love You"
