Why do these presenters regularly confuse singulars with plurals? Quite simply, it is:
'There are people', when referring to multiple persons. It is therefore correct to say: 'there's a person' when referring to a single person.
You cant say 'there's people." or 'there's person' or 'there's persons'
How has this become so unnatural for people to intuitively understand and apply ? What happened to our education system? Everything has been reduced to 'there's, whether referencing a plural or singular entity. I expected that the 10 news team would have been more on top of this most basic concept.
