"Rope" is a classic. A sociopathic killer, an investigative detective and a worried pianist all come together to commit -- and foil -- the perfect murder. It is exciting, despite being set in one room. A must-watch.

Amélie is a pretty good concept, which doesn't exactly do so well in practice. In essence, it's not really a comedy, and has too much unnecessary sexuality, which I suppose is meant to be funny (it isn't). Also, the camera and visual/audio effects are extremely confusing; there are a lot of startling loud and shaky shots midway, which tend to interrupt the flow of the movie and startle the viewer.

The story itself is mediocre; reading the synopsis would make you think that the movie will be a Mission: Impossible type movie. You would be totally wrong. Whoever did the camerawork for this movie completely screwed up. Viewing the movie feels like a fever dream: too many dark shots, the camera is too shaky, and every once in a while, the camera randomly switches on you. Also, the story telling is horrid. The camera-work could have been justified by a good story, but obviously, it wasn't. It feels like scenes are missing, and there is too little character development. The exposition is blatant; every fifteen or so minutes, the character spills a huge blob of their personality, then goes back into the story. All in all, this movie is not good. Wesley Snipes has done better. If you want an action movie with Wesley Snipes that is actually interesting, watch U. S. Marshals.

Horribly overrated. It's not entertaining at all -- the only reason it is so popular today is due to its philosophical premise. The film is a mix of dark and bright green neon, which makes it hard to follow.
