The level of disappointment and anger I felt during and after this film is unlike any movie I think I’ve ever paid money to watch. The sheer lack of direction alone made it horrendous and almost unwatchable. Every scene with Lady Ga-Ga just felt like some weird self-promotion. The second Joaquin Phoenix began to get into character and ooze out the Joker brilliance it was suddenly interrupted by a nonsensical musical cut. The director of this film should be black-balled from Hollywood for the rest of his existence. Trash. Garbage. Failure. Miserable. Fucking stupid and a waste of time.
