Ok, so my mistake on thinking that the show would be ANYTHING like the book. (Spoilers for both included). The characters in the show and book share names, but their personalities are much, much different. For example, Frances in the book doesn’t shut up about her romance scam, but show Frances tells Tony and asks him not to tell. Backstories are basically the same, but Lars’ completelyyyy different. The book begins with 5 days of silence and the silence begins like RIGHT at the start. So no one is getting to know each other at all, which is how the show goes about. Idk, I wish they called this show something else and put INSPIRED by 9PS book. The book builds so much suspense where the show seems like a normal wellness resort in the beginning. I WOULDVE DONE A GREAT JOB PRODUCING THIS SHOW SMH
