Chase Hyden

It's not often I leave a movie and think "well, that was a waste of time" and this movie did that for me. The first two installments of this franchise I thought were actually pretty good and fun to watch. This one however was just so random, hard to follow, and not very likeable. I didn't feel attached to any of the characters or the stories. I was just constantly waiting for it to get better and it never did. I don't think you will miss anything if you skip this movie. Only reason I don't give it one star is because the first tape had an interesting concept and the other tape with the skaters had a few funny moments. With that said, I will probably never watch this again.

Another absolute classic movie that still holds up and is a definite watch especially for J-horror fans. This movie really sets this somber and melancholic tone that permeates through each characters performance. It is somewhat of a slow burn but the atmosphere it builds is worth it. I really recommend this to anyone that is particularly skeptical. If you're already curious about the movie then chances are you will like it as I think it draws in a specific audience. However, I simply can't imagine this movie disappointing many people. If you are a fan of other Japanese titles like Ringu and Kairo, you will like this one. This is one I'll revisit as the years go on. Enjoy!
