A basic woman tries to escape vampire hunter her thriller. The movie has some good moments and decent acting. The movie drags at times though and has strange moments of attempted comedy that fall flat. For me what ruined the movie is the overbearing feminist undertones that the vampire is basically a tool of the patriarchy, women are all victims that noone cares about, and there's a secret underground league of women run by am angel woman teaching karate?? They bolster this undertone even further with constant references to the main characters menstration even going so far as to have her squeeze a bloody tampon to lure the vampire out. This whole attempt at women's empowerment was an over reach for what the movie was and made it felt very tiresom.

A great instalment in the Alien franchise, only second to the original in my opinion. Strong classic horror roots, plenty of original ideas but a nice amount of throwback to the original.
