Can someone tell my why they grabbed the best casting member to be Johnson and decided "Nope! This MF is gonna be Keyes!"...? Halsey is .. British? Master Chief has his mask off like ALL the time. Not to mention he doesn't talk straight to the point like he should. Cortana is .. in his brain? And not in his helmet? Human being the secret weapon of the Covenant...? Excuse me? Kai has way too many expression for a spartan even before she removed her pellet. Why TF do we have to watch a series names HALO and get like 75% rando Kwan Ha? Honestly, the only way I can sit through this with my roommate is because I keep telling myself this is an alternate universe. As most of the other reviews here have mentioned, the timeline is way off. This was just obviously put together by a crew who has never seen, read or played anything related to HALO apart from the imagery. They would have been better off creating something completely from scratch or you know... pulled from the hundreds if not thousands of hours of material this franchise has. Why can't producers understand that fans really want is closer to a copy + paste of the games? Add some twists if you want but like, no one asked for whatever THIS abomination is... Like many, I'm clearly offended and incredibly disappointed. If you aren't a longtime fan or have little knowledge of HALO but like sci-fi, you are bound to like it though. CG is well done, concepts are original enough sometimes. But it feels more like a spin off of Star Trek with a HALO skins mod. (Probably was heavily influences by Star Trek considering Paramount has like 15 series and movies on the home page) I'm not bashing Star Teck, but it is a very different type of story. Anyway, they could fix it by killing off Kwan ASAP. Kindly forget Soren exists (I like him, but his plot doesn't need to be here at this point). Put your damn pellets back in. Kill off this human working for the Covenant and fix the whole Covenant hierarchy as it should be. BRING JOHNSON IN. And you know, discover HALO, fight the flood. get betrayed by guilty spark and all that good doom and gloom. (don't forget Luck + 100%)
