Wow! Wish I had read this series a long time ago! Anyone interested in ancestry of Scandinavians or any emigration and immigration story during 1850 Europe to the American Midwest . These books are well researched for place, time, economic conditions, religion and class. The story telling is simple fast reading. Don’t stop at book 1.
