Did not meet my expectations........but great acting by Helen Thompson, who played his mother, and Austin Butler. Skipped over two many important years and could have highlighted his army life. Fast forwarded to the late 60's when the 50's and early 60's should have been highlighted more. Didn't really show the times leading up to his death. Concentrated more on Colonel Parker's gambling debt than needed be, rather than on Elvis himself. Didn't include many of his biggest songs and they played Are You Lonesome Tonight in the mid 50's when it actually was recorded in 1960, which to me showed that Baz didn't know enough about his hit records than he should have. Just watching him sing more of his songs would have made the movie better as far as I'm concerned!
