I had such high hopes when I saw the series was coming. My daughter and I loved the books! The movie simply didn’t have enough time to tell the story, but we thought in a series it would. The source material is great, so we thought the series would be as well. Unfortunately other than the names of the characters and a very basic outline of the original story, this is nothing like the books. I really like the actors. Unfortunately they have been hamstrung by all the terrible changes by Disney. One of the best fantasy series ever is apparently not good enough and needed to be changed???? I think the movie version is better and That’s saying a lot! Sadly I won’t watch anymore episodes after the last one, which I didn’t finish, and hope that another company picks up the rights and remakes the series.
