My dad recommended these books for their world building. As I started reading, I wasn't sure what he was getting at, but towards the end of the first book, whenever a characrer mentioned a city or region, instantly an image appeared in my mind. The people there, the culture, and the exact location in the world was clear. I also like how sorcery is portrayed. It's the rules of magic are not clear, but it is also obvious that thier are limitations. Even wizards as old and experienced as Goblin or One eye have limited uses of thier sorcery, and are forced to be creative. I recommend this series, I'm on book 4, and still loving it.
