This book is absolutely beautiful and I love it so much ahh! I first found this book when I was at my friend’s house for a sleepover and I was like ah I don’t have a book. She gave me this book because she thought I would like it. When you look at the cover it looks like a romance story, but it’s not. I mean it has romance but that’s not really the main plot. I went into this book knowing nothing about it, I didn’t even read the summary on the back. This book is about a girl named Frances who is a dressmaker. Her work is so amazing that she starts to work for royalty. She goes into the castle where she will be working and sees what seems to be a woman with a cloth on their head asking for dress designs for them. As Frances and them talk the person slips and the cloth falls off. It is no princess. It is a prince. Prince Sebastian feels like being a boy isn’t really himself. He wants to wear dresses, he wants to be a girl. Frances agrees to keep this secret and she makes dresses for his other persona Lady Crystilia, as Prince Sebastian’s parents try to look for a princess. This is all I can say without spoiling the book but it’s really good. This book is really good for anyone who doesn’t know what trans is or children. It’s nothing too much, it’s just slowly learning that you can be anyone you want and you don’t have to be afraid to. This also really slowly starts kids and people who don’t know what gay/lesbian is. Because at one scene Frances and Sebastian dressed up as a girl kiss. This doesn’t make anyone really feel uncomfortable because they know Sebastian is actually a boy. This book is amazing and you will not regret reading it, it’s just beautiful.
I would give this more then five stars if I could, please read it, it is amazing.
edit: why did someone copy my review
