Well written, well acted, well directed. What more could you ask from a dramatic series? Evidently more than most made for cable series can offer. Billy Bob Thornton Is the personification of the lead character. Gritty, Jaded, cynical, and near fatally flawed. But a glowing Amber of humanity glows in the burnt out dumpster fire of a man – just enough to ignite the fuse that leads to the ultimate combustion of a defense corporation. The plot, wow complex, and heavily charactered Could easily have spun into a Muddled morass. But the well crafted quilt of patch worked plots are sewn together in a compelling fashion that keeps it moving forward at a satisfying clip. The supporting cast offer up consistently brilliant performances. Hurt and Parker are as cold a vicious as a rusty razors edge and make viewers question the depths of evil in the human soul. Ariana is quirky but charming as the aspiring legal mercenary who just does have the heart to be a legal shark. And Raymonde, cast to play the rather pat part of the “hooker with a heart of gold” adds enough originally and personality to save the part from being a cliché. So far, I’ve just watched the first season, but I am anxious to stay on the ride till the end.
