A cinema masterpiece. This movie by John carpenter and Debra hill is one of the most famous horror movies in the world all on a budget on $300,000 they produced such an influential movie it's a great movie to start with if you've never watched a horror movie with it's 96% rotten tomatoes rating I would definitely recommend this and it inspired the Friday the 13th franchise (Friday was an intentional rip off which was also a box office hit). Fun fact Halloween was first premiered to an audience of college kids in a small town to see if people liked it.
