The movie wasn’t that bad itself but I felt the way they set it up was interesting for it to end that way. It felt forced almost? What I really felt was that they put a lot of depth into Steve Carell’s character and even gave him these random moments that felt really close to main character plot that was such a stark contrast to the rest of the characters. If anything they should have made a movie mainly focused around his character ABOUT him. None of the pageant stuff, which by the way was such a hard ending to watch. I feel like it would have been a much better movie if they had just focused on Carrell’s character. Everything felt like it was thrown together.
