This book is a brief overview of early history of Islam after Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) using earliest and most reliable resources. It mentions nothing that scholars of all major sects do not know or say. The narrative style is easy to follow for both novice and aficionados of Islamic history. I think this stimulating book is an essential supplement to any library.
