We absolutely loved it. It was both a fabulous trip down memory lane (musically), and a fascinating look at Freddie’s personal journey. There would be no way to cover it all (as fully and deeply as perhaps some critics were expecting) in the span of two-plus hours, but my family members and I felt it did a great job sensitively handling the challenges Mercury faced with love and sexuality (amid the backdrop of family/cultural expectations—and fame) while celebrating the band, the friendships, and the incredibly unique/rich/memorable music.
