the story is amazing and so is the art it made me cry so much i loved it, its so beautiful and i watched it 2 times and im gonna watch it a third time, the special was not as good as the show when it comes to emotions, they should have put it in the show, and same with the movie. The show starts off pretty slow but there's even arts of action and it is animated beautifully, it was even better than some fight scenes in shonen anime. Its so heartwarming that i cant help the tears.
When Violet leaves the war she then needs to find a job a friend of Major Gilbert (Gilbert is dead but we can't confirm it) helps Violet by giving her a job in the Doll agency. The reason she became a doll was to understand what love is after Gilberts lat words were "Violet i want you to know that... I love you..." (what a sad scene its only the first ep) after that she trains to be a Doll and accomplishes that. She starts writing letters for people that are filled with all the emotions that they can't express. While she writes these letters she starts to understand the emotions that people are asking her to put in these letters and she starts learning new emotions. (it's so sad) (spoiler for lats 2 eps) she also has to help out the Majors brother by stopping the explosion of a train that innocent people are on and 2 of her coworkers. She also meets the Majors mother and they talk on how the Major is alive in their hearts (this made me bawl it was so sad i couldn't stop crying, thats how the movie and special i watched next made me cry even more.)
