One star for the actors and the other for Tasmanian scenery. Way too much unnecessary graphic violence, child killing and rape for anyone. Another senseless revenge story unevenly played out and quite unrealistic. The film attempts to portray the story of Indigenous Tasmanian genocide a worthy ambition. However the reality was a much more systematic and orchestrated venture which is lost in this film. Australian films have the potential to tell much richer and more meaningful stories of courage and resilience. This film ends with the feeling of pointlessness.
