Jason Ring

I absolutely loved part two! Having watched the 1984 movie and loved it, I had to watch the first episode remake and was blown away. The depth of the characters and layers of story lines, combined with the beautiful and magical music, special effects and cinematography, and incredible acting immediately got me hooked on Dennis Villeneuve’s work (led me to watch Blade Runner 2049 which I loved as having been a Blade Runner fan). Part two was absolutely wonderful and is a perfect continuation of part one. I could see glimpses off the 1984 version but it was built upon in so many ways, again giving it depth while interweaving characters and storylines. I also see the presence of opposing forces within characters, intermingling of competing perspectives, and passion and devotion to beliefs and causes that can be in harmony or in friction with others. How the quest for or aversion to power or revenge can influence and affect an individual’s actions and how sometimes life and circumstances have the final say in what choices are made. Time stood still as I was immersed in the movie and wanted the movie to keep playing. The ending was perfect in setting the scene for part three, leaving me wanting it to be released tomorrow lol I feel for Chani and know that her strength, resilience, and fire within her will come out all the more in part three. I’m excited to see what will unfold with the new alliance at the end, and if the path that Paul foresaw will unfold as he envisioned as life always has a say in how things turn out. I absolutely loved the film and I very much hope that part three will happen. If money was no object for me I’d gladly give Mr Villeneuve what he needed to make it happen with the cast and vision that he has for it. This could be the next great saga… at least it would be for me :).
