Just wanted to say that I thought one of the most poignant moments in this movie is when Angela Bassett’s character is at her son’s work party & he confronts her. When she makes the remark to him that she was a young woman living her life and having fun before she was a mother, that got to me. My husband & are still raising our boys (12 & 14), but that stood out to me. Until recently, I have made my identity that of a wife and mom, and nothing else. And I am still very much both of both of those things, but when I turned 40 a year ago, something dawned on me...I’m still young, and can be both of those things, but still be that fun loving girl I was before marriage and motherhood! So I’d definitely recommend this to not just moms, but any parent of a child of any age!
