Saw this show last night. I brought my daughter who is 12. I purposely did not explain much about the show wanting her to have an authentic experience. She didnt get it. I had to explain the plot and even I could not explain the ending. The visuals and singing were great. I was able to follow the story as I had already known the story but it seemed like key moments were rushed or glossed over leaving those who did not know the story, confused and questioning the movement through the scenes. The jump from everyone being obsessed with TOMMY to the We're not gonna take it scene was weird and immediate. Seemed rushed just to get through it. i almost wished they had ended it with him being "the miracle". The cast, orchestra and show scenes/backgrounds were incredible. But if you did not already know the plot, it came across confusing. I'm glad I saw it but this wasnt my favorite.
