My mother served in WW2 but never spoke about it. When MASH came out I was an adolescent who knew it all. One day I came home and found Mom in one of the best moods ever, ( separated, dying of cancer) . She had seen MASH and told me that the movie was exactly like it was oñ her hospital ship off the north coast of Africa.
