I remember entire story ever since I watched TV serial "Bharat Ek Khoj" in my childhood and specially the lines "चार बांस चौबीस गज अंगुल अष्ट प्रमाण ता ऊपर सुल्तान है मत चूके चौहान" conveyed by Poet Chandra Bardai to Samrat Prathviraj so that he kills Mohammad Gauri of Gajni, Tehran listening to his voice. यही वह पंक्ति हैं पृथ्वीराज से जुड़ी हुई जो हमें याद हैं और चंद्र प्रकाश द्विवेदी असफल हुए यह सत्य दिखाने में ।। Movie shows story of Prathviraj from Ajmer crowned as King ruling from Delhi and winning first war against Mohammed Gauri. Film also dipicts love story of Rajkumari Sanyogita and how Prathviraj eloped her from her swayamber in front of her father Jaichandra (played by Ashutosh Rana). Akshay Kumar played the role of Samrat very well but he needed much heavier body to carry it more effectively. Some dialogs are embossed in the minds of his fan. His thoughts are shown progressive and empowering women. Manushi doesn't give a feel that it's her first movie and she played role with mature acting. Her dance number looks out of the place before "Johar" , perhaps Director wanted to show audience that she can dance well.
