I love this cookbook, it is my bible and has been in my home since 1983. It is a twelfth edition, circa 1982. The hardcover I bought then is totally falling apart. Many pages have been taped in; I confess, the entire book needs to be lovingly re-taped with librarian's tape. I also have the 1896 version, a reprint of course, because I am very grateful Fanny Merritt Farmer built, created and published this cookbook. She knew her ingredients well and I especially value the measurements, tips and timing for food preparation.
